Photography has its own unique identity in contemporary art. It has been used as a means of communication, image appreciation, and cultural exchange. The China-based travel photographer Yang Yuanxing hopes to encourage individuals across the globe to appreciate beauty of the Mother Earth through his personal photo exhibition in Vancouver, BC.
The exhibition will showcase the very best of Yang’s landscape photographs over the past five decades. In addition, Yang will present ten of his photographs that are transformed into collectible ceramic paintings using the traditional Jingdezhen's Ceramics method.
Yang is best known for his scenic photography capturing the landscapes of China and other countries during his trips and journeys. His work is characterized by a high degree of technique and artistic value. Currently the President of the Chinese Photography Art Association, Yang has held over a dozen personal photo exhibitions in different provinces of China. This will be Yang’s first solo photo exhibition outside China.
